The joy of his professional journey stems from his faith and the wonderful relationships established throughout his twenty-five years of service in the Austin community. Before joining A Glimmer of Hope Foundation in 2003, he worked for a broad range of companies and organizations including IBM, UPS, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Austin, Austin ISD, and City of Austin Police Department. All offered invaluable learning opportunities while on this life-long journey.
Drawing on years of experience in nonprofit management, youth development, and community relations, his time and energy are now focused on grants management and administration for Glimmer Austin. Passionate about sharing hope, opportunities and support for youth and older adults, he works with the Glimmer Team to provide funding for after-school programs and basic services to those who are in need and often neglected.
While attending the University of Texas at Austin, he began working with youth at an elementary school in east Austin. That was the beginning of his love and calling to serve others, particularly disadvantaged youth. He went on to receive a BA in Sociology from UT at Austin and later a MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University at San Antonio.
His faith and family keep him forever focused and grounded. As a servant leader, he shares that his life is about offering hope, love, encouragement, and support to those that are in need. A Glimmer of Hope Austin embodies the very essence of that love and care for humankind. He is forever grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a team of individuals and community-based organizations that possess such compassionate hearts and uplifting spirits.
