What is Giving Tuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that takes place every year the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The movement brings people together around service and giving. Started by the 92nd Street Y in 2012, GivingTuesday has spread to 150+ countries and last year alone raised over $300 million for nonprofits. But GivingTuesday is not just about the dollars — it is about communities joining forces for good!
How Can You Help?
1. Subscribe to receive reminders and updates about GivingTuesday and how you are making an impact in the life of a child.
2. Give. On December 1, we will be kicking off a special campaign to screen 150 children for vision impairments by the end of 2020.
3. Spread the word! Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to join you. Share on social media what our mission means to you. Use the special hashtag #hHGivingTuesday so we can harness the power of social media and connection to help share your story!
Celebrate 2020 with us by giving the gift of sight to 2,020 children!
