Frank H. (Dick) Moeller

Moeller’s career spans more than 40 years of successful executive and entrepreneurial leadership in a variety of public and private companies, startups, non-profits, faith-based organizations and community advisory boards.

Dick is the founder and Board Chair of Water to Thrive, a faith based non-profit that works to bring clean, safe water to rural Africa.  In approximately 10 years, Water to Thrive has funded approximately 1,000 projects providing water to over 500,000 rural Africans who have struggled for a clean drink of water every day. Also, he serves as the founding Principal of Enovate Enterprises, LLC, a consulting firm focused on assisting entrepreneurs, founders, companies and organizations to achieve their full potential with strategic planning, mentoring/coaching, market strategy, governance design and board services.

Recently, Dick served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Thrivent Financial, the nation’s largest fraternal organization, serving over 2.2 million members, helping them be wise with money and lead generous lives. Thrivent manages over $120+ Billion of member assets and is number 330 on the Fortune 500. His Board service spanned 12 years, and ended in 2018.

Previously, Dick served as President and CEO of St. David’s Foundation and served as a member of the Board of Governors for the St. David’s HealthCare Partnership (7 area hospitals, 5,000+ employees) in Austin.  St. David’s devotes more than $100 million per year in care for the uninsured, elderly, ill and homeless through its hospitals, grants to community agencies and mobile dental clinics.  He was instrumental in significantly increasing the Foundation impact in the community through programs and strategies that stressed community need, research, best practices, outcomes and fiscal stewardship.

A native of Waco, TX, Dick is married to Joyce Opella Moeller for 51 years, with two children (Derek & Meredith) and two grandchildren (Jillian and Gavin), all living in the Austin area. Dick earned an MBA (’70) from Harvard University and a B.S. with Honors in Industrial Engineering (’67) from the University of Texas at Arlington.  Moeller received the Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Texas at Arlington in 1999 and the Beto Christian Leadership Award in 2009 from Concordia University Texas.
