Advocating for Eye Health
True to her ChangeMaker title and on behalf of hH, Chelsea advocates actively for HB 3157 in the 85th Legislative Session. HB 3157 permit schools to offer supplemental photoscreening-based vision tests to school age children, in addition to the already state mandated eye chart screenings. A year later, on the 49th anniversary of Helen Keller’s death, Governor Abbott signed HB 3157 into law.
